Third match Asia XI vs Africa XI at Chennai

Third ODI, Asian XI (3:0): Asia XI Wins Afro Asia Cup 2007

Asia XI beat Africa XI by 13 runs in the third and final one-day international of the Afro-Asia cricket series here on Sunday to complete a 3-0 sweep. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his 139 run knock.
Meanwhile the captain of Asia XI Mahela Jayawardena who made a fine century in yesterday's game and two good knocks in the pervious two games was declared as the Man of the Series. Mahendra Dhoni and Mahela Jayawardene smashed centuries in a world-record stand as Asia posted 331-8 against Africa in the third and final match of the Afro-Asia one-day series here on Sunday.
The pair added 218 for the sixth wicket to pass the previous best of 165, shared by Australians Mike Hussey and Brad Haddin (v West Indies at Kuala Lumpur in 2006) and New Zealanders Craig McMillan and Brendon McCullum (v Australia at Hamilton in 2007). Asia were reeling at 72-5 following Kenyan Peter Ongondo's triple strike before skipper Jayawardene (107) and wicket-keeper Dhoni (139 not out) came to their team's rescue with commendable knocks in hot and humid conditions.
Sri Lankan Jayawardene hammered two sixes and nine fours in a 106-ball knock for his 10th century in one-day internationals before falling in the closing overs.
Asia XI 331 for 8 (50.0 overs) beat Africa XI 318 for 7 (50.0 overs) by 13 runs
