ENG vs NZ 2nd Match CB Series 2007 : New Zealand beat England by 90 runs
Jan 23, 2007
Jacob Oram made 86 and took an important wicket as New Zealand beat England by 90 runs Tuesday to post its first win in four matches in the Commonwealth bank cricket series.
Oram rejoined the New Zealand team after recovering from a hamstring injury and reached his highest score in one-day internationals. It helped New Zealand to 210 as it batted first after winning the toss.
Daniel Vettori took four wickets, James Franklin three, Shane Bond two - including his 100th wicket in limited-overs matches - and Oram grabbed the wicket of Paul Nixon as New Zealand dismissed England for 120 to grab a bonus point.
That point lifted New Zealand into second place on the tri-series table with five points, behind unbeaten Australia with 18 and England, who beat New Zealand by three wickets at their last meeting, with four.
Commonwealth Bank Series, Adelaide: New Zealand 210 all out (50 overs) beat England 120 all out (37.5 overs) by 90 runs
