DG v MC, Match 24: Mumbai Champs beat Delhi Giants by 58 runs

Mumbai Champs had looked lost and beaten right through its last five matches but it pulled off a face-saving 58-run victory over Delhi Giants in the Indian Cricket League at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium.
Giants were surprised to be at the receiving end of a team, which has been sub-par throughout the tournament. With a free mind and no coach (Sandeep Patil was relieved a few days ago), there is a possibility that Champs might be discovering their wherewithals, only now.
Batting first, Champs scored 174 - their highest score of the tournament - for the loss of only four wickets to put forth a strong challenge to the Giants, who were desperate for a win to retain their semifinal dream. For the Champs, it was Dheeraj Jadhav (59 off 47 balls), Hasan Raza (43 off 30 balls) and Ranjit Khirid (43 off 20 balls) who contributed towards the total, which was also incidentally the highest at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium. Jadhav and Raza forged a third-wicket partnership of 72-runs from 51-balls.
