MI v RR, Match 45 - May 14: Rajasthan Royals prevail in nail-biting finish.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat. The opening batsmen Rob Quiney(51) and Greame Smith(19) put together a partnership of 43 runs. Ravindra Jadeja also made a significant contribution of 42 runs to take the Rajasthan total to 145/7. Sanath Jayasuriya, who bowled just one over for Mumbai took 2 wickets and gave away only 3 runs. Mumbai Indians made some significant changes in their batting line-up for this match. However, Bravo lost his wicket in the 2nd over and scored only 1 run. Takalawe and Rahane were also dismissed soon and Mumbai were struggling at 23/3. Tendulkar(40) and Abhishek Nayar(35) put life into the Mumbai innings and soon they only needed 6 runs in 9 deliveries to win, with 3 wickets in hand. However, Mumbai lost all 3 wickets , those of Kulkarni (0), Nanda (0) and Malinga(0) in the last over. Nanda and Malinga were both run out while they scrambled to take singles. Mumbai was all out for 143 in 19.5 overs. Shane Warne was named Man of the Match for his superb bowling taking out 3 wickets conceding only 24 runs.
